Cobra’s Managing Director, Mark Dunsford, was proud to be part of The UK’s National Transition Event held at Silverstone, where he signed Cobra Seats to the Armed Forces Covenant (AFC), confirming Cobra’s commitment to supporting those who serve or have served.

The signing event – with Commander Christopher Chew RN who signed the AFCs on behalf of Defence - was hailed as a milestone in Armed Forces Covenant engagement.

In signing the Armed Forces Covenant, Cobra was strengthening its long-standing support for Mission Motorsport, the Force’s motorsport charity which aids in the recovery and rehabilitation of those affected by military operations by providing opportunities through motorsport and the automotive industry.

James Cameron, CEO of Mission Motorsport reflected on the event's success:

“This year’s NTE has been our biggest yet, and the signing of 14 new Armed Forces Covenants is testament to the growing recognition of the value that the Armed Forces community brings to society. It is a privilege to see these relationships strengthen and develop in real time beginning at NTE at Silverstone.”

As part of the MoD's Career Transition Partnership, Mission Motorsport helps those leaving the military to find employment in the Automotive industry. An Institute of the Motor Industry and LANTRA training provider, Mission Motorsport's Training Wing delivers a range of qualifications up to and including Level 3 Diploma courses and full apprenticeships enabling service leavers to bridge the gap between military service and second careers as civilians, beyond injury.
