Invitation to Tender – Supply and Installation of a 15 kW Industrial Air Compressor System

Tender Opportunity

Cobra Seats Limited invites suitably qualified suppliers to submit tenders for the supply, installation, commissioning, and handover of a new 15 kW industrial compressed air system at our manufacturing facility in Telford, Shropshire.

This project is being undertaken with financial assistance from a grant funding programme and therefore the procurement process must be conducted in a fair, transparent, and competitive manner.

Project Overview

The successful supplier will be required to provide a complete compressed air solution comprising:

• A new 15 kW energy-efficient rotary screw air compressor.
• Associated air treatment equipment, including refrigeration or desiccant drying equipment as appropriate.
• Filtration equipment necessary to ensure clean and reliable compressed air supply.
• Installation and commissioning of the complete system.
• Connection to the existing compressed air distribution network.
• Operator training and provision of all operating and maintenance documentation.
• Warranty and after-sales support arrangements.

Suppliers should clearly state:

• Compressor manufacturer and model.
• Motor power rating (15 kW).
• Free Air Delivery (FAD) performance.
• Operating pressure range.
• Energy efficiency features, including variable speed drive (VSD) options where applicable.
• Noise levels.
• Air quality specification.
• Warranty provisions.
• Maintenance requirements and service support arrangements.
• Total installed cost, including all equipment, labour, commissioning and training.
• Delivery and installation timescales.

Evaluation Criteria

Tenders will be evaluated against the following criteria:

• Compliance with the required specification.
• Value for money and whole-life operating costs.
• Energy efficiency and environmental performance.
• Delivery and installation timescales.
• Warranty, reliability and service support.
• Supplier experience and capability.

The contract will not necessarily be awarded to the lowest-priced tender but to the proposal offering the most economically advantageous solution.

Submission Requirements

Tender submissions should include:

• Company profile and relevant experience.
• Technical specification of the proposed equipment.
• Detailed quotation and pricing breakdown.
• Proposed installation methodology.
• Delivery and commissioning programme.
• Warranty and service support details.
• References for similar installations where available.

All tender submissions must be received no later than:
